Practice Meeting Summary

Listed below are the main talking points from our practice meeting held with our patient participation group 26.02.13

The waiting rooms are to be re-vamped, there is an area to be allocated with information on how patients can engage more with the practice, and view their ideas and suggestions.

We talked about the idea of a colourful poster to put up in the waiting room of the surgery saying “YOUR SURGERY NEEDS YOU” to try and get more patients involved in the Participation

The Dr/Nurse survey will take place shortly and it has been decided that the clinician will hand out a survey form to the patient at the end of the consultation.

We liked the idea of bringing “Old fashioned values” back into the practice, one to one contact etc.

We have to educate the patient on their rights within the practice, and what they can expect to happen and what we can do, in the practice.

THE RENAMING OF THE SURGERY

The Practice is thinking of renaming the surgery, the patients will be able to choose the name, a poster will be put up in the waiting room listing the proposed names and patients will be able to give their choices.

 The proposed names are:

(1) MOWBRAY MEDICAL GROUP

(2) CITY MEDICAL GROUP

(3)TAVISTOCK MEDICAL PRACTICE

(4)TATHAM MEDICAL GROUP
